Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is determined to bring a Super Bowl title to the Land of 10,000 Lakes. The Vikings are among the 12 teams to have never won a Super Bowl, despite making the Super Bowl four times – 1970, 1974, 1975, and 1977.
Jefferson was drafted 22nd overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2020 NFL Draft. Since then, he has established himself as one of the league’s premier wide receivers. In the summer of 2024, he signed a four-year, $140 million contract extension, with $110 million guaranteed.
Over five seasons, he has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards each year. His most recent campaign saw him haul in 103 passes for 1,533 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Amidst a stream by himself playing Madden on Twitch, Justin Jefferson shared his unwavering belief in his team’s future success.
I see the Vikings winning sometime… we gonna win. I ain’t playing this game not to win. We going to win.

The Vikings have not won a Super Bowl in their franchise history, despite multiple playoff appearances and deep postseason runs. The last time they reached the big game was in the 1976 season, where they fell short against the Oakland Raiders.
The Minnesota Vikings had a stellar 2024 season before it crashed down
The Vikings entered the 2024 season looking to improve upon their 7-10 record from the previous year. Under the leadership of head coach Kevin O’Connell, they exceeded expectations, finishing with a 14-3 record and securing second place in the NFC North.
Minnesota’s resurgence was fueled by an explosive offense that averaged 25.4 points per game, ranking ninth in the league. Sam Darnold, stepping in for the injured JJ McCarthy, performed beyond expectations. He threw for 4,319 yards and 35 touchdowns, leading Minnesota to the playoffs. Jefferson remained the focal point of the offense, delivering yet another stellar season.
Despite their strong campaign, the Vikings faced adversity late in the season. A Week 18 loss to the Detroit Lions meant they had to play on the road in the Wild Card round. Facing the Los Angeles Rams, the Vikings struggled, ultimately falling 9-27. The team looked like a deer in the headlights in the crucial moments of the game and eventually crashed out of a potential season again.
The Vikings’ revolving quarterback door is a point of uncertainty in their 2025 dreams
Heading into the 2025 season, Justin Jefferson will be catching passes from a new quarterback. The Vikings selected JJ McCarthy with the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. McCarthy, a national champion with Michigan, missed his entire rookie season due to a torn meniscus.

McCarthy’s injury made him the first first-round quarterback in NFL history to miss his entire rookie year. Now fully recovered, he is set to take his first regular-season snaps as the Vikings’ new QB1. The rookie will need some time to settle into his role as the new starter, and the mounting pressure could derail their plans.
Since Kirk Cousins‘ departure, Minnesota has struggled to find long-term stability under center. While Sam Darnold performed admirably in 2024, leading the team to a playoff appearance, he was never seen as the franchise’s long-term solution. They are crossing their fingers hoping McCarthy is the one to end their dilemmas and uncertain eras.
