Conor McGregor sized up Bucks big man Brook Lopez on Monday
The Milwaukee Bucks versus the Utah Jazz encounter seemed like a regular run-of-the-mill game on Monday Night until some serious star power entered the building. With NBA stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Brook Lopez on the court, UFC star Conor McGregor took seats courtside before heading towards the Bucks bench to link up with Lopez.
During the game, McGregor met up with Fan Duel Sports Network reporter Melanie Ricks to join the live game broadcast and speak about visiting the game. As he went back to his seat, McGregor took a quick detour to stop by the Bucks bench, where he met up with Bucks big man Brook Lopez. The two quickly chatted up before the 7’1″ Lopez rose from the bench to chat up the Irish star.

Conor McGregor may be one of the feared stars in the octagon, but even so, he looked a little out of his depth as the towering NBA big man made sure to let McGregor know about their size difference. The two stars were clearly joking with each other, but neither wanted to give way as the cameras on the Bucks broadcast panned towards them.
This wasn’t McGregor’s first rodeo in the NBA, of course. He has visited Miami Heat games in the past, although his visit to Salt Lake City seems more out of place than normal. However, Conor McGregor has not been seen around the NBA hardwood often lately after facing a controversial lawsuit for sexual assault charges in the Kaseya Center in Miami during the 2023 NBA Finals.
Brook Lopez reflects on meet-up with Conor McGregor
While Brook Lopez may not have the fighting chops that the legendary fighter has, he certainly seems capable of putting up some stand with just his massive stature. After the Bucks 125-110 victory over the Jazz, Lopez spoke about his meet-up with Conor McGregor and revealed how their conversation went down.
Although it is unlikely that McGregor and Lopez ever square up in the ring, the Bucks big man is well aware of the state of his fighting chops. Even so, he hopes that his point guard, Damian Lillard, will step up for him to help him deal with any possible matchups with McGregor.
Lillard has been a massive fan of boxing and the UFC. While Lopez might be a little more uninitiated when it comes to taking on Conor McGregor, Lillard has attended multiple fights with the Irish star, and McGregor even remarked about recognizing Dame’s face from some of his matchups during his in-game interview with the Bucks broadcast.
