Conor McGregor does as Conor McGregor wants and that means being fashionably yet unreasonably late. These days, the ‘Mystic Mac’ usually hogs the spotlight during promotional duties at BKFC pressers. McGregor was on hand and did the same again for the BKFC: KnuckleMania 5 news conference in Philadelphia. The UFC superstar cut a glowing ‘knuckles to knives’ promo for it.
For those asking, the BKFC: KnuckleMania 5 pre-fight presser went down Thursday (4 p.m. ET – 1 p.m. PT). The bare-knuckle boxing event at Wells Fargo Center will go down this weekend. BKFC part-owner and former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor stormed the scene, late, as is the gospel. Along with BKFC president David Feldman, he helped stare down Philly’s own Eddie Alvarez and Jeremy Stephens.
Now why’s that speech so not unheard of? That’s because it was a work re-done. It was a stitch at Alvarez; a lush, fur-coat Conor McGregor had cut a similar promo against him for UFC 205. The historic dual-bid matchup was the second time in UFC competition that champions in different divisions fought for the same strap.
It’s one of the most well-known matchups in the sport as McGregor rose to the top as the first-ever simultaneous double-champion. As for “Underground King” Alvarez, he is big name in BKFC and faced Mike Perry at BKFC 56 Utah in one of the most well-known matchups in the sport again.

McGregor is still living out his failed UFC 303 billing in June 2024. But with ‘The Notorious’ careless in the middle of it, BKFC: KnuckleMania 5 is subsequently up to be a good one. Part-owner McGregor was also an active part of the BKFC on DAZN: Spain – the country’s first such event. As for his own combat return — it’s as much in the air as his timing schedule for events.
Jake Paul rips ‘hostage’ Conor McGregor’s relationship with Dana White after Presidential inauguration trip
Seemingly, the Paul brothers have the week off and are taking turns to take a mickey out of the ‘Notorious’ one. Logan Paul’s ripping into Conor McGregor already went viral a while back. UFC, and its parent TKO Group Holdings helm the “Maverick” and his WWE run. So, it was a common ground to bank a portion of the $250 million fight purse in their supposed exhibition boxing stint.
However, the match hasn’t come to be. McGregor blamed Logan for shelling because he’s under contract with UFC and Dana White. Now, the niceties with him snapping end as Jake Paul took to social media and ‘clowned’ the Irishman for it.
My guy…you are a total clown. You don’t control your own career. The conductor conducts what you do and don’t do, and you bow and say thank you for the payment sir.

“Problem Child” has floated before that UFC is keeping him on lock until an exclusive 2025 broadcast rights deal. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor chips away at BKFC duties and Irish Presidential aspiration. A boxing return seems even more unlikely now than his UFC return. The fans will have to wait till fall of this year to see what the UFC plans for the Irishman.
