Earlier this January, Conor McGregor attended Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration in Washington DC. The Irishman’s appearance at that time drew significant attention from combat sports fans. During the visit, McGregor crossed paths with Logan Paul and Jake Paul while sharing transportation to the White House together.
The videos from that meeting had gone viral, and McGregor recently revealed insider details, sparking renewed discussion across social media platforms. Videos showed McGregor loudly trash-talking, threatening slaps, mentioning KSI, and hyping potential fights, fully embracing his notorious promotional persona.
Logan Paul later claimed the brothers initially mocked McGregor’s decline, which escalated tensions and triggered the Irish star’s aggressive verbal response. Apart from all the drama, McGregor and Paul clicked pictures and had several hilarious moments, which later went viral. Nevertheless, in a recent interview, the ‘Notorious’ discussed what actually happened and how Logan and Jake were arguing over a video.
They’re content creators… When we got on the bus, the two brothers started going at each other over whose footage it was. I just thought that was funny.

At the time, Conor McGregor was reportedly in talks for a boxing match against Logan Paul, allegedly backed by an Indian billionaire family. According to McGregor, the UFC showed no interest in approving the crossover bout, causing the ambitious boxing proposal to eventually collapse. Logan later dismissed McGregor as a washed-up fighter, claiming neither he nor Jake felt threatened during the bus exchange.

The rivalry between McGregor and Jake Paul has been ongoing for a long time, with the ‘Problem Child’ often calling him out. According to Paul, he has the name and ability to fight the Irishman and potentially win in a boxing match. However, since his injury back in 2021, McGregor has shown no signs of coming back until very recently.
Conor McGregor is extremely interested in fighting at the upcoming White House event, potentially against Michael Chandler. According to him, he will be getting around $100 million for the 100 US Golden Visas for the fight. It will be interesting to see whether this fight comes to reality.
Conor McGregor against Floyd Mayweather was better than Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua, says boxing veteran
Boxing has long been the most lucrative combat sport, consistently attracting superstars from mixed martial arts, wrestling, and entertainment backgrounds worldwide. In 2017, Conor McGregor famously crossed over to boxing, challenging undefeated legend Floyd Mayweather in one of history’s biggest fights.

McGregor was clearly outboxed and eventually stopped, yet impressed fans by surviving multiple rounds against a seasoned defensive master there. Despite the loss, the spectacle earned McGregor more than $100 million, instantly redefining crossover paydays in combat sports history.
In recent years, Jake Paul attempted a similar blueprint, transitioning from internet fame into high-profile professional boxing contests and worldwide events. Paul’s bold experiment culminated in a heavyweight bout against Anthony Joshua, where he suffered a brutal knockout defeat.
Even in defeat, Paul earned a rumored $90 million, proving boxing’s unmatched ability to generate massive money globally. In a recent interview, former multi-division champion Terence Crawford compared both fights and credited McGregor.
To me, [Conor] did real good against Floyd. He did better than Jake Paul did against Anthony Joshua and he landed some good shots on Floyd.
