McGregor had attended Trump’s inauguration back in January. His appearance attracted much notoriety where he interacted with many combat sports personalities. Now, after visiting the White House, McGregor did something extremely surprising. He took the White House Press briefing room alongside Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. The Irishman made a plea to the US President.

Ireland and America, we are siblings. We consider America our big sibling. So, it’s important for Ireland to have a peaceful and prosperous country for 40 million Irish-Americans to have a place to visit, to come back to their home. So, we wish for our relationship with the United States to continue, and we wish to be taken care of by the big bro. You know, the United States should look after the little bro.

It also hampered his relationship with the Irish people. As such, it is unknown if meeting the US President has anything to do with McGregor’s political ambitions.

The meeting between Trump and McGregor will occur on the occasion of the St. Patrick’s Day. Trump has often praised the McGregor. With this in mind, ‘Mystic Mac’ spoke about the problems in Ireland during his White House visit.

I’m here to raise the issues that people of Ireland face… Never on the main stage has the issues that people of Ireland face been spoken. You know our government has long since abandoned the voice of the people of Ireland… Our government is a government of zero action and zero accountability. Our money is being spent on overseas issues that has nothing to do with the Irish people and illegal immigration racket that has been running a ravage on the country.

It could have been different story if it was the 2016 version of ‘Mystic Mac.’ However, fans have grown to hate McGregor since his boxing bout with Floyd Mayweather. As such, it remains to be seen if his future lies in politics, and if he ever becomes the leader of his nation.
