With Mcgregor and Poirier set to headline at UFC 257 on January 23, it’s no surprise that the 32-year-old Irishman is busy training for the match up. He has however taken the time out of his schedule to share his thoughts on his one of his heroes- Mike Tyson, returning to the ring after 15 years, to take on former four-division champ Roy Jones Jr. in a match with modified boxing rules.

Tyson had gone onto Ariel Helwani’s show and spoke about how his former trainer, the late Cus D’amato, would have reacted to him returning to the ring after so long. Conor seems to have agreed with Tyson on what Cus’ thoughts on the subject would be and he echoed this in his tweet.

Conor recently shared his thoughts on the matter on Twitter:

Mcgregor, who has always been interested in boxing, has flirted with the idea of making a return to the sport to face Manny Pacquiao, as well as being called out by YouTuber and boxer, Jake Paul. Mcgregor cheering on Tyson and wishing both men the best of luck was heartwarming to see.
