Conor McGregor took aim at rival Khabib Nurmagomedov in a since-deleted tweet. It’s 2018; it’s 2020! No, it’s 2023…It’s a year later, and ‘Mystic Mac’ is back at it again. This time, it refers as far back as their rivalry during the October pay-per-view event of UFC 229 six years back. UFC 229 drew an attendance of 20,034, generating a live gate of $17.2 million.

Galluping at 2.4 million domestic buyouts, it was one for ages. However, the spectacular event was marred by a post-fight brawl from both their corners. Now, Conor McGregor questions his loyalty to his family and close ones.

Additionally, with one-time fighter Ghadzimurad Kagirov having links to his Eagles MMA before a recent terror attack, Nurmagomedov’s accounts were seized. Pinned for being away from home and such happenings, McGregor thus takes a yet another diss at his defunct loyalty.

Despite their last match happening in 2018, ‘Notorious’ has not allowed the rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov to die down. Whether it’s COVID-19, taxes, terrorist attacks, or failed drug tests, McGregor won’t hesitate to drag his Dagestani rival with him. At this point, their rivalry does not maintain reason or timeline. It’s just a burning ember that goes on and on.
