‘How come the public isn’t told about positive tests anymore?’ – Conor McGregor tears into UFC, USADA and Nate Diaz
Conor McGregor tore into the UFC, USADA and one of his greatest rivals Nate Diaz, after he was drug-tested twice this week. The Irishman didn’t hold back because he felt that the USADA is just ‘stereotyping’ on whom to test. He also didn’t like the fact that there have hardly been any announcements of athletes being caught.
Taking to Twitter, an enraged Conor took a dig into his rival Nate Diaz, as well, saying that he was deemed clean after he launched his own nutrition companies, and was instantly cleared prior to a mega fight.
‘I don’t blame them, I’m a animal’ – Conor McGregor
An angry Conor tweeted, “Usada tested me right before this. Blood and urine. That’s twice this week. I don’t blame them, I’m a animal. What irks me tho is there is never an announcement of athletes caught anymore? This means – 1. They can keep it quiet. 2. Tainted supplement bullshit excuses are accepted.”
Tagging the Senior Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance for the UFC, Jeff Novitzky, Conor then tweeted, “.@JeffNovitzkyUFC how come the public isn’t told about positive tests anymore? How after the Nate Diaz steroid debacle, where he produced his own nutrition companies tainted multivitamin, was instantly cleared prior to a mega money fight, are we now in the dark on test results?”
Conor is currently preparing for his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The pair will be facing off in front of a full-house of 20800 fans in Las Vegas. As for Nate Diaz, he will be making his UFC return at UFC 262, where he will be facing top-ranked welterweight Leon Edwards.
