After retiring from the octagon thrice in 4 years, UFC president Dana White has confirmed that he spoke with Conor McGregor over a 2021 return. The Irishman has been in and out of the sport with several reports suggesting McGregor would be back in the octagon despite the 32-year-old mentioning the lack of opponents as his reason of retirement.

UFC fans are certain they have not seen the last of the Irish MMA star in the promotion. Especially after the spectacular win over Donald Cerrone earlier in 2020. Conor certainly had a plan in the beginning of this year to battle it out against several opponents. But the pandemic was certain to demolish that.

McGregor’s agent Audie Attar also confirmed there have been talks with the UFC to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.
