Kevin Garnett is hyped for the Oklahoma City Thunders

The Oklahoma City Thunders have rallied to one of their best starts in years, placing themselves at the top of the NBA table. The Thunder have now won every match they’ve played, putting them at 4-0 for the season. Boston Celtics legend Kevin Garnett credits this dominant run to the Thunder’s camaraderie off the court.

Recently, Draymond Green had taken to his podcast to criticize the Thunder’s post-game shenanigans. Green said that the young core of the team lacks ‘seriousness’ compared to dominant teams of the past.

However, contrary to Green’s claims, Kevin Garnett is stoked for the Thunder and praises the brotherhood that they’ve displayed.

Shoutout ot OKC man, listen, they got eleven ‘dawgs’… they got a dog pound over there, ‘woo woo woo'[Garnett imitating OKC’s post game interviews]… It don’t matter whoever get it up top, he gotta wiggle… they got eleven m***** f***** that can bust your a**.

The former MVP compared the Thunder’s lineup to a dog-pound, a slight nod to the team’s post-game antics where they would playfully bark in front of the camera. Rightfully to Garnett’s comparisons, the Thunder boasts one of the deepest units in the league led by MVP frontrunner Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Following the team’s 105-99 win against the San Antonio Spurs, the team remains the only undefeated side in the Western Conference. They are also one of the only two teams yet to face defeat, a record they currently share with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Coach Mark Daigneault praises OKC Thunder for their ‘Disruptive Defense’

Continuing their trend from last season, the Thunder have shown to be the best defensive team to start the season. Starting early, the team has improved their defensive turnover rate of 19.7 percent, a big jump from 15.5 percent from last season. The stats simply translate to the opponents losing the ball every fifth of their possession.

Head coach Mark Daigneault touched on the importance of maintaining a level of ‘disruptiveness’ on the defensive side. According to Daigneault, the team’s elevated turnover rate has contributed heavily to their transition offense. With the team’s weakest link from last season gone, the Thunder are bound for a historic defensive season.

The team’s latest recruit, Alex Caruso, also vastly contributed to the cause. The All-NBA defensive guard had been a seamless fit alongside Chet Holmgren and Alexander.
