Rookie Cooper DeJean is riding high after a remarkable Super Bowl victory over the two-time Super Bowl defending champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, it’s about time for the Super Bowl parade in Philadelphia, and he can hardly contain his excitement at the thought of celebrating this historic win alongside NBA superstar LeBron James.
DeJean is coming off an impressive game in Super Bowl LIX, where he picked off his first career interception and returned it for a touchdown. The night became even more special for him as he celebrated his 22nd birthday. However, the highlight for NBA fans was in the endzone when DeJean and linebacker Oren Burks recreated the iconic photograph of James and Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade.
During the appearance on the Up & Adams show, the rookie defensive back received special news after sharing that he grew up being the Los Angeles star’s fan. Host Kay Adams shared that there’s a possibility that James would attend the Eagles’ Super Bowl parade in Philly for the celebration of the historic triumph.
“It’d be awesome. That’d be crazy, yeah, if we got LeBron in Philly and down the Super Bowl parade, it would be insane,” replied DeJean absolutely flabbergasted.

Although the news is not confirmed, if it happens, it wouldn’t be the first time James will meet his fan in Philadelphia. But it would be the first time where James would actually acknowledge him since the last time he snubbed the rookie over wide receiver A.J. Brown, Darius Slay, and DeVonta Smith.
Cooper DeJean expresses disappointment over Super Bowl parade delay
The 2024 season has been surreal for DeJean as he kicked off his rookie season with glitter after earning the starting role. Unfortunately for him, the rookie star would have to wait until the upcoming Friday for the parade celebrations that are scheduled for an entire week, but he is really upset about the delay.

“Yeah, the parade’s gonna be insane. Insane. I can’t wait for it. I’m sad that we had to wait until Friday. I wish that we could just have a parade all week long,” DeJean told Adams.
As excited as the Philly players are to celebrate their historic feat of defeating the Chiefs, the city’s police department may not be too thrilled. Given, that the Eagles fans tend to go cross lines with their celebrations, and the 47 arrests on Super Bowl night and 31 during the NFC Championship feat proves it.
