The Dallas Cowboys’ defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is welcoming several new things in his life in the coming year. One such comes from his girlfriend- now fiancee- Katarina Elizabeth whom he recently got engaged to. Elizabeth took to Instagram to share the news of her engagement to Mike Zimmer through a video montage.
The video consisted of several snaps of the couple throughout their relationship. The model posted a heartfelt caption thanking God for making her meet the NFL coach. Katarina Elizabeth expressed gratitude for their five year journey, which led her to the next step in their relationship. Simultaneously, the video ended with a picture of Elizabeth with a diamond ring on her finger.

Katarina Elizabeth and Mike Zimmer disclosed their relationship to the public back in 2021 after months of speculations. The latter was primarily married to Vikki, who passed away in 2009 of natural causes. The exact timing of Elizabeth and Zimmer meeting is uncertain.
However, the fans have their theories. Back in 2018, the former actively followed the Minnesota Vikings and posted them on her page right about when Zimmer coached.
After eight seasons, Zimmer was fired from the Vikings in 2021, only to reunite with the Cowboys in 2023. He previously occupied the role in Dallas from 2000-06. He has been coaching the team in a relatively disappointing season. The team lost several key players, such as Dak Prescott, to injuries, leaving the team stranded. Nevertheless, his personal life continues to be the opposite.

Mike Zimmer’s engagement has got NFL fans to bring in Bill Belichick in the conversation. The one thing common more than others between the two is their relationships with younger partners. The former Patriots head coach, 72, is involved in a romantic relationship with Jordan Hudson, 24.
The fans did not fall short on noting it as a situation similar to that of Zimmer and his now fiancee Elizabeth. Many joked that the former took inspiration from Belichick, who often deals with criticism over his age gap. Meanwhile, others scrutinized that Elizabeth looked like Zimmer’s daughter.

While Mike Zimmer did express his admiration for Bill Belichick, it was way back when he first started coaching the Vikings in 2014. In the interview, he mentioned having looked up to Belichick for quite some time. The news comes amid Cowboys’ difficult season that ended with a 19-23 loss to the Washington Commanders.
