The Dallas Cowboys were preparing for the upcoming season. All in the hope that they want to take it to the next stage in the playoffs. However, powerful winds have dealt a blow as they had to cancel team activities. Leaving the likes of Dak Prescott and his teammates forced to stay indoors.
A clip of the strong winds causing power to go out at the Cowboys practice facility was shared by Fox News. It showed the electrical grid probably losing power, rendering the entire facility to plunge into darkness. However, the backup generators did kick in and restore power. But even then, the damage to the grid means they cannot function for long hours. Therefore, the Dallas Cowboys will have to put their OTAs on hold until the city is able to restore power.

The Dallas-Fort Worth area experienced powerful winds which sped up to 80mph. These winds coupled with thunderstorms caused widespread damage across the state of Texas. It is reported that more than 1 million customers did not have access to power.
The Cowboys will have to wait for a while before their team can resume training. They are losing precious time as the rest of the NFL are already tweaking their game every day. After all, the goal is a Super Bowl. But owner Jerry Jones will probably push the city to ensure they have reliable power available soon.
Many feel the Dallas Cowboys will not even make the playoffs
The Dallas Cowboys are in a precarious situation. They lost a bunch of good to great players through free agency. Defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who helped the defense be one of the best in the league, has left. They also have not been able to attract good players in free agency. All in all, a lackluster off-season.

Even though owner Jerry Jones is optimistic that the Cowboys will still be good enough to make a serious run to the Super Bowl, others are not buying that. Analysts, fans and former players have voiced their concerns for America’s team. They feel that the Cowboys will not even make the playoffs. The personnel losses have not even been compensated equally.
If Dak Prescott and the current players do step up and take over, then it is possible that the Cowboys can at least make it to the Wild Card round. If not, then Jerry Jones will have to face the noise and lament over a lost season.
