Dallas Cowboys player Micah Parsons feels that the New York Giants made a huge mistake by letting Saquon Barkley go to the Philadelphia Eagles. The former feels an investigation should be conducted to identify this mistake by the Giants’ front office.
As iconic franchises in the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants have a history of legendary players and heated matchups. Whether it’s on the field or off, the Cowboys and Giants have always been enthusiastic to poke at each other. The rivalry seems alive and well with Parsons finding fun in taunting the Giants for the mistake.
Parsons believes that Barkley should be the Offensive Player of the Year, taking a look at how he played against the Green Bay Packers. Barkley has previously been voted as the best offensive rookie in 2018 in his debut season. If he continues this form, Parsons argued that Barkley has transformed into a breath of fresh air, which makes him an OPOY candidate.
I think Saquon has a good chance to be offensive player of the year. I mean receiving touchdown, two rushing touchdown, over 100 all-purpose yards. It looked very dynamic, he looked very explosive, he looked very much like normal Saquon. I tweeted that Giants should be under investigation.Micah Parsons said on his podcast

Barkley had a stellar debut with the Super Bowl favorites Philadelphia Eagles, contributing significantly to their win in Week 1. His impressive performance, which included 132 total yards and three touchdowns, likely disappointed Giants fans who were upset that the team’s former Pro Bowler signed with a rival.
The Giants refused a $16 million annual salary and let Barkley explore free agency. The Eagles capitalized on this opportunity, signing Barkley to a three-year deal worth $37.75 million. Hence, The Giants are down a good running back while keeping an expensive but poor QB.
Eagles will try to keep Saquon Barkley “fresh” with minimum workload
Barkley had a fantastic start to his Eagles career, contributing significantly to their victory over the Green Bay Packers. To ensure his longevity, the Eagles’ offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, and HC Nick Sirianni, are closely monitoring Barkley’s practice workload. They will attempt to maintain his freshness throughout the season.
Yeah, you do everything you can do to win each football game, and so once the game is in the flow, you think about how you're going to win that game, and whether that's Saquon getting 20-whatever touches, whether that’s us throwing the ball to A.J., DeVonta, Dallas, whatever it may be.Nick Sirianni said to the reporters
Barkley was a beast in a slippery Brazil. He ripped through the crowd with an intense urge and created chances. He recorded 26 touches, crossing the 25+ touches barrier for the 15th time in his career. It is proven he can be a workhorse, considering only a handful have more than 25+ touch games since 2018.
Despite this, if the Eagles are gunning for a postseason or better, a ring, they will want to keep him fresh. After seeing his capabilities, they will need Barkley to maintain the same form and physique to guide them through.
