West Indian All-Rounder Andre Russell is one of the most prolific players in the world right now. He has the ability to turn the tide of any game in just a few deliveries. Thanks to his excellent skill set Russell has had a chance to feature in some of the top domestic leagues such as IPL or PSL.
Speaking of PSL, over the past few years, it has attracted numerous talented players from all around the globe. Russell is among those players and plays for the Quetta Gladiators. The Gladiators are still looking to get in their groove as their last in the points table.
But with players like Russell, they still have a shot to turn their season around in the second half. Apart from the Gladiators, the PSL offers many talented teams that have elevated the level of the competition.
Andre Russell has nothing but praise for PSL
Being part of several top domestic leagues, Russell has experienced the competition levels in each league. In a recent interview with Geo News, the West Indian compared PSL with other leagues.
He said, “I play IPL, I play big bash or Caribbean Premier League. I play in other leagues around the world. And I’m definitely gonna say that PSL is one of the top leagues around the world.”
The biggest difference between PSL and other leagues is the quality of pace bowling that each team possesses. This makes it difficult for batsmen to get in the groove and score monumental knocks.
Russell further added, “I just think it makes the league even tougher. So it’s among the top leagues.”
Although the PSL is not as huge as the other leagues such as the Indian Premier League, it’s noteworthy that they have still managed to attract such big talents.
