Australian cricket legend Shane Warne dies aged 52, Cricket world mourns the magic spinner’s demise

Legendary Australian spinner Shane Warne passed away on March 4 in Thailand of a suspected heart attack, his management released a brief statement to confirm the same.
“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”
It is a sad day for the Australian Cricket and cricketing fans as Rod Marsh passed away earlier in the day.
Shane Warne’s career in numbers
Shane Warne played 145 Test matches for Australia since his debut in 1992. The legendary spinner had 708 scalps to his name and is the second-highest wicket-taker in the longest format of the game. He is just behind Muttiah Muralitharan. Warne made his Test debut against India at Sydney and played his final Test at the same venue during the Ashes series in 2007.
In ODI’s, Warne has picked up 293 wickets across 194 matches for the Australian Cricket Team. He was regarded as one of the legendary spinners during the late 90s and early 2000s.
He won the World Cup with Australia in 1999 and won five Ashes with the Australian side between 1993 and 2003.
