“Best Mumbai Indians jersey” – Twitterati show love towards new MI jersey ahead of IPL 2022

As fans of different IPL franchises are awaiting the official match kit for the players, Mumbai Indians revealed their jersey on Saturday, March 12 for the 15th edition of IPL in 2022. They posted the video of the jersey on their social media accounts.

For the first two seasons of the cash-rich league, the five-time champions Indians players wore a light blue jersey. But they changed it to darker blue and gold, which is also their trademark colour scheme. The Mumbai Indians fans can now visit the franchise’s website and buy the official jersey for Rs 2499.

The Indian T20 extravaganza will wick start from March 12 where the defending champion Chennai Super Kings will lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders. Mumbai Indians will play their first game against Delhi Capitals on March 27 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians attempt to improve their game this year

Last year in 2021, Mumbai Indians played disappointingly as they failed to qualify for the playoffs and finished 5th spot on the points table. They will try to improve their performance in the latest season. The franchise retained four key players- Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction. Rohit Sharma was bought for the highest price, Rs 16 crore. After him, Jasprit Bumrah was retained for Rs. 12 crores. Suryakumar’s price was Rs 8 crore and Kieron Pollard was retained for Rs. 6 crores. Ishan Kishan was the expensive player with Rs. 15.35 for the Mumbai Indians and also in the auction. MI bought 21 players for the squad.
