David Warner has missed the two games for Delhi Capitals due to his national duty towards Cricket Australia. But he has played his first game against the Lucknow Super Giants but couldn’t give much with the bat as he scored only four runs. He has been released by the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise because of a poor season in 2021.

But Warner had been the only captain of the Hyderabad franchise to lift the trophy in 2016. He is also the fifth-highest run-scorer in the IPL.
Delhi Capitals opener David Warner slammed his first-fifty off 35 balls in the IPL 2022. This is his 55th fifty and he stands at the top by scoring the greatest number of fifties in the history of IPL. Virat Kohli follows him with 47 to his name.

In the ongoing match between Delhi Capitals and KKR, the latter have won the toss and decided to bowl first. Rishabh Pant-led DC have won their opening match against the Mumbai Indians but have lost the next two against the Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. They are currently at the seventh spot on the points table with two points from three games.

“Don’t mind batting first on this wicket. Wicket is absolutely looking very nice. Gets frustrating when you lose close matches but have to learn from your mistakes and keep moving. Definitely a big relief – no dew. One change – Nortje out, Khaleel in,” said Delhi skipper Pant.
