“Looks like my type of car” – David Warner hilariously responds to Chris Gayle’s picture on Instagram
Chris Gayle and David Warner
West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle has been enjoying his time at the Maldives on vacation. One of the most explosive batsman of all time, Gayle is also known for his ‘Calypso Swagger’ which means that he has fun and lives life to the fullest. The 41-year-old batsman is one of the most easy-going and fun-loving sportspersons and his on-field as well as off-field behavior is extremely pleasant.
Even at 41 years of age by which time cricketers usually retire, Gayle is showing no signs of stopping as he is taking part in franchise tournaments. He was also recently named in the West Indies’ provisional squad for the series against South Africa, Australia and Pakistan. Even in the now-suspended Indian Premier League (IPL 2021), Gayle showed that he was still very much capable of hitting the big shots and putting pressure on the bowlers.
Chris Gayle poses with a car; David Warner responds
Chris Gayle posted an image today with a rather compact car for his size on his Instagram handle and captioned it, “Imma pull up baby.” To the picture, Australian cricketer David Warner responded saying, “Looks like my type of car.” This conversation between the two left-handed batsmen has gone viral on social media.
David Warner has been having a difficult year as he suffered a groin injury earlier that kept him out of a few matches. Even after the injury, the explosive batsman did look shaky on plenty of occasions when he played. Even in IPL 2021, he was not in the best of touches as he failed to come good on a consistent basis. He was also found wanting in terms of his strike-rate. Warner was subsequently sacked from his role as captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise and replaced with Kane Williamson, while also being removed from the playing XI – a move that led to criticism from fans of the franchise.
