The 15th match of the 2021 edition of the Caribbean Premier  League (CPL) saw St Kitts and Nevis Patriots crossing swords with Saint Lucia Kings. Ahead of the CPL match, the viewers witnessed a lovely reunion of Lucia Kings skipper Faf du Plessis and Nevis Patriots skipper DJ Bravo. 

The two veteran West Indies players bonded over their love for the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. There’s no doubt about the fact that Bravo is an entertainer. The all-rounder didn’t fail to entertain the viewers at the time of the toss also as he sang a special song. The Patriots skipper was later joined by Du Plessis as the two fondly expressed their love for the three-time champion Super Kings. 

The two sang, ‘We are Chennai boys, making all the noise’. The video of DJ Bravo and Faf enjoying themselves at the toss quickly went viral on social media.

As far as the match between Lucia Kings and  Nevis Patriots is concerned, Bravo won the toss and elected to field. Batting in the first innings, Saint Lucia batters made a mockery of the opposition bowlers. Du Plessis went all guns blazing against the Patriots bowling unit as he slammed 120 runs off just 60 deliveries.

The skipper’s exploits with the willow steered Kings to a mammoth score of 224 runs in their 20 overs. Chasing 225, the Patriots succumbed to pressure and thus collapsed at a paltry total of 124 runs. Evin Lewis was again at his fluent best as he added 73 runs to the scoreboard. However, apart from Lewis, no other batter took the responsibility.
