“Jab they met”- Faf du Plessis meets MS Dhoni and other CSK players, shares warm hugs with old friends

Faf du Plessis and CSK
Faf du Plessis, the Royal Challengers Bangalore captain met his former team members during net practice on Monday, 11 April, at the Sports Academy, Mumbai.
Faf du Plessis had been with the CSK for nearly a decade. He played a crucial part in the team winning the title last season. But in this year, RCB bought him for Rs 7 crores and was made captain after Virat Kohli stepped down.
In the video shared by CSK, Faf du Plessis was seen hugging his former teammates and support staff. He was overjoyed meeting with older friends with whom he shared the dressing room for so many years.
Virat Kohli was also seen doing the “Champion” step dance invented by Dwayne Bravo. He seemed to have a great laugh with CSK’s former captain MS Dhoni. Australian pacer Josh Hazelwood and leg-spinner Karn Sharma were seen exchanging greetings as both of them were part of the CSK franchise last year.
Under du Plessis’ captaincy, RCB has won three games out of four in the tournament so far. But CSK have a disappointing start in this year’s game because they lost their four games.
Today, both the teams will face each other at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Tuesday.

“So, it would be a great day to see everyone again and obviously when we walk on the field hopefully, I can put in some performances to get RCB the win on that game,” he added.
He also spoked about his journey with CSK.
“I’m extremely grateful for Chennai and being around with them for more that 10 years. They have a special place in my heart and I have learned a lot from MS Dhoni, he’s fantastic captain as well, so I’m sitting in a position where I can learn from two of the greatest leaders in Indian cricket.”
