Hardik Pandya, the Gujarat Titans skipper was seen shouting at senior player and fast bowler Mohammad Shami after the latter failed to catch a ball in the match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Gujarat Titans have scored a modest 162 runs and SRH chased the target easily with five balls to spare. But in the 13th, Kane Williamson slammed back-to-back sixes off Hardik Pandya’s second and third ball. But the final ball would have dismissed Williamson’s partner Rahul Tripathi had Shami taken the catch when the ball flied towards deep third man.

If Shami ran forward, he could’ve caught the ball but instead he moved back a couple of steps to try to catch the ball. The frustrated passion was visible on Pandya’s demeanor. In the replays, Pandya was seen screaming at Shami. Fans weren’t happy with Pandya’s behavior and his leadership skills.

Meanwhile, Pandya started his innings aggressively but slowed down due to the fall of wickets on the other end. He scored an unbeaten 50 off 42 balls and helped Gujarat to 162/7. Hardik Pandya has led his team brilliantly so far. But they saw their first defeat in the hands of SRH.

The 2022 IPL have witnessed Pandya getting angry with his teammates. In the previous game, he lost his cool on David Miller when the latter was at the receiving end after Hardik Pandya was run out. In this match, fans believe that it was Pandya’s fault for the team’s loss because of his slow batting and also for denying the DRS for Williamson’s LBW.

“My role has always been said that the more you use your swing with the new ball and with tight lines, the better it is for the team as it is very important to use the new ball well. When you have so many options, it is very important to think of taking wickets upfront. When you have so many options behind, it is very important to why not keep your best options forward for picking wickets,” Shami had said in a pre-match chat with Star Sports.
