ICC honors Dazzle the Dog with the Player of the Month Award

The International Cricket Council (ICC) came up with a unique award on September 13, Monday. The cricketing body left the fans amazed by honoring the viral dog from a T20 match hosted in Ireland. Recently, a cute dog had gone viral after he had invaded the pitch during the match between Bread Cricket Club and Civil Service North of Ireland Cricket Club at the Bready Cricket Club in Magheramason in the Women’s All-Ireland T20 tournament.

In the ninth over of the second innings, the furry animal ran into the field and started chasing the ball. The dog entertained the viewers alot by moving all over the ground before he was finally taken out by the ground staff. The video of the adorable incident was shared by Ireland Women’s Cricket and had gone viral within no time. 

As the video caused a lot of buzz on social media, the ICC also made a special post. Taking it to their official Twitter handle, ICC wrote, “We have an additional Player of the Month winner this time.” With their tweet, they also revealed the name of the dog, Dazzle. 

Joe Root receives ICC Men’s Player of the month award for August

It is England Test skipper Joe Root who bagged the ICC Men’s player of the month for August. Root was absolutely phenomenal with the willow in August as he produced a masterclass with the willow during the five-match Test series against India.

In three Test matches that were played in August between India and England, Root ended up with a whopping 507 runs with three hundred. The English skipper also acquired the number one position in Men’s Test batsmen rankings. 

For Women, it was Ireland star Eimear Richardson who stole the thunder. The cricketer picked up seven wickets while bowling at an economy rate of 4.19 during T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier.
