“If I hadn’t met Anushka, I don’t know where I would have been” – Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli and Abushka Sharma
Team India skipper Virat Kohli never shies away from expressing love for his wife Anushka Sharma in the media. After several years of dating, the celebrity couple tied the knot back in December 2017 and were also blessed with their first child, Vamika in January earlier this year.
Virat has time and again praised Anushka for uplifting his life and making him change for a lot of good. In a recent interaction with Dinesh Karthik, Kohli once again opened up on this and credited his wife for bringing a lot of positivity and luck into his life.
“If I hadn’t met her (Anushka), I don’t know where I would have been. She has made me believe where I am and what impact I can have through what I do. She has alleviated me as a person, and that has eventually filtered through in cricket. I couldn’t be more grateful and lucky to have a life partner like her. She is absolutely my better half,” Kohli said in an interview with Karthik on Sky Sports.

The 32-year-old also shed light on how their lives have changed since the arrival of Vamika in their family. The leading modern-day batsman revealed Virat-Anushka’s daily routine ever since they welcomed their daughter.
“Firstly now, with our daughter, it’s putting her to sleep, first thing. Then, stepping out for breakfast somewhere, grab a quick coffee in the time that we get. And then, come back to the room to be with our daughter again. Priority is obviously making sure that we stay up to speed with her schedule,” he added.
Virat and Anushka are currently in England amidst the five-match Test series, started from August 4. The Indian skipper highlighted how they can visit the streets in the UK, unlike India, owing to their tremendous popularity.
“Just taking a stroll down the street is probably the most relaxing thing for both of us (in England). Such is the reality of our lives back home. Can’t complain about anything in life, but we have to adjust. Thinking of going down the street in India is not even a dream for us now, it doesn’t even arrive in our dreams anymore,” Kohli signed off.
