The duo had reduced the lead to under 50 when Nathan Lyon struck triggering the landslide as England managed just 74 runs for the last eight wickets.
Malan’s wicket turned the table for the Englishmen as their batting order collapsed like a house of cards. While it seemed like the visitors might go on to put a fighting total on the board, all they managed is a 20 run lead which the Aussies chased down at the expense of a single wicket.
