Chennai Super Kings (CSK) opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad played an outstanding knock of 88* runs off just 58 balls in match 30 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. He smashed 9 fours and 4 massive sixes in his innings under pressure against a quality bowling attack.
CSK skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, UAE. However, his decision didn’t turn out to be fruitful as the Chennai-based franchise lost four crucial wickets inside the powerplay. Luckily, Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo also contributed well with the bat towards the end overs their respective knocks of 26 runs and 23 runs respectively.
The pace-bowling trio of Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, and Adam Milne was amongst the wickets as their claimed two wickets each. Spinner Rahul Chahar was also economical in his spell of 4-0-22-0
