IPL 2021: Star Sports releases star-studded commentary panel for the UAE leg

The stage is all set for the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Most of the players have already begun training while some are serving the mandatory quarantine period at their hotels/resorts. Meanwhile, the official broadcasters for the cash-rich league, Star Sports, have unveiled the list of commentators.
Replying to several users on the popular social media site Twitter, Star Sports unveiled the names for both Hindi and English commentary panels. The lists include some of the top former cricketers like Aakash Chopra, Irfan Pathan, and Gautam Gambhir as the Hindi commentators. Defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) support staff members Parthiv Patel and Kiran More will also be seen commentating during the remaining matches.
The English commentators’ list consists of more popular names like Harsha Bhogle, Sunil Gavaskar, Danny Morrison, Simon Doull, Matthew Hayden, and Kevin Pietersen and many more.

Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians to play the maiden game
The UAE leg of the 14th edition of the league will begin in the form of match 30 between the Mumbai-based franchise and the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The two heavyweights of the tournament will lock horns on September 19 (Sunday) from 7:30 PM (IST) onwards at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Delhi Capitals (DC) held the top spot in the Points Table with six wins in eight matches, followed by CSK at number two at the end of the first phase. On the other hand, Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the MI Paltan occupied the third and fourth spots respectively.
