The Kolkata Knight Riders are off to off to a rocky start in their clash against the Chennai Super Kings. Batting first, KKR lost the wicket of Shubman Gill early on following a horrible mix up. The young lad had been in superb touch off late but he was caught napping in the middle of the pitch as he was run out.

Gill got off to a rollicking start from the get-go as he dispatched Deepak Chahar for two boundaries. But the young bowler was not one to sit back as he came up with a brilliant delivery to trap Gill in front of the wicket only for DRS to save him. Although the stylish opener was given out, the ball bounced a bit too much for CSK’s liking as Gill survived the call. But not for long.

On the very next ball, Shubman Gill was caught short of the crease trying to sneak a quick single off Ambati Rayudu. While Gill was halfway down the track, his partner, Venkatesh Iyer was in no position to complete the run. Sent back, the youngster was caught short by a direct hit from Rayudu.

So the eventful first over of the game came to an end with a wicket for CSK as an inform Shubman Gill walked back after getting a reprieve on the very previous ball. The opener seemed very upset with Iyer‘s call but he has no one to blame but himself for the runout. The early wicket has given CSK some relief following a 10 run first over.
