David Warner lit the stage on fire last night with his blistering 92 off just 58 balls. The Australian batsman had his revenge against his former side with his parted ways in a rather bitter fashion.

The 35-year-old has been one of IPL’s best players over the years. Having amassed 5805 runs at an average of 42.37. Having played just 8 matches, he’s already 4th in the race for the orange cap. A feat he has achieved on 3 previous occasions already.

David Warner started the game against SRH as well in a similar fashion. Anchoring the innings right till the end. However, he saved the best for last. Warner, known for playing the switch hit quite often, tried the same against Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 19th over. Warner switched his stance on the first ball of the over hoping to ramp it toward the leg side.

Kumar saw David Warner change his stance and bowled wide of the off stump. However, Warner managed to get an edge on the ball as it raced away for a boundary down the third man.

That was Daivd Warner’s 10th boundary of the innings. The Australian went on to hit 2 more in the same over as he got to 92 runs towards the end. The Australian was also applauded for his selflessness. Asking Powell to hit the ball for boundaries rather than give him strike so he could score his 5th hundred in the IPL. Warner was eventually adjudged the Man of the Match for his superb batting performance as DC went level on points with SRH at 10 points.
