This was the first time Pant got out by a spinner in this edition if the IPL. Delhi went on to lose the game and that too by a huge margin of 91 runs. That will be a huge hit in terms of NRR for the capitals while it’ll be a huge boost for CSK.

Delhi Capitals remain 10th on the table with 10 points in 11 games. They are level on points with Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings with all 3 teams having 3 games to play. Chennai on the other hand moves one place up above Kolkata thanks to a better Net Run Rate. While Rishabh Pant’s side still have a better chance at making it to the qualifications, they need to perform better. The absence of Prithvi Shaw was definitely felt, but the capitals have to get two points against Rajasthan Royals to keep their play-off hopes alive.
