“Female angle lana zaruri nahi hota”-Irfan Pathan fools Raina with his prank on April Fool’s Day

Irfan Pathan and Suresh Raina

Irfan Pathan along with Suresh Raina were in the show discussing the game and he was asked which team between the Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders is the stronger one during the Cricket Live yesterday on Friday, April 1.

Irfan Pathan answered that it was Punjab Kings. He explained: “It’s Punjab Kings. Because in the first match, their batting was superb. They have covered every base. In 2008, they had a good team; in 2014 they reached the final and after that strong batters, strong team, great bowlers…”

Raina cut him short and said: “He (Pathan) played for three years for the Punjab Kings. He played for Preity Zinta too. She is the owner so I think it’s a good thing.”

Irfan Pathan became quiet for a moment. In an angry tone, he told Raina than in cricket, a female angle shouldn’t come. It’s all right if it’s done on the field but Raina shouldn’t say such things on TV.

Pathan said: “This is not right. In every cricket talk, female angle shouldn’t come.”

It’s not right all the time. I think that it’s important if cricket talk should remain within cricket, then it’s good. I am friends with you so on field this is okay but this is TV, it doesn’t look nice. You people do the show now.” And he walked back towards the chairs and sat there.

Suresh than went up to him and made him come back to the show to which Irfan startled him by laughing and everyone apologized Raina because it was a prank and they made a fool of Raina.

“He’s a player’s captain”- Irfan Pathan on Shreyas Iyer

In that same show, Irfan Pathan lauds KRR captain Shreyas Iyer over his captaincy skills.

He said : “Shreyas Iyer is a brilliant captain. Remember, he picked up captaincy midway through the season like Rohit Sharma who was named Mumbai Indians’ captain halfway through the season in IPL 2013. For Delhi Capitals, Shreyas started well under the coach Ricky Ponting and he kept improving his decision-making skills in his first stint as captain.”

But his captaincy moves are coming to the fore prominently in this season and we will talk more about it as the tournament progresses. He’s a player’s captain. He backs the players at every turn and which is a goof sign of a leader. The future of Kolkata is bright under his supervision and we’ve seen glimpses of it in the first couple of games.” He added.
