In the ninth match of IPL Season 15, Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians went face-to-face in which Rajasthan Royals registered their second successive win over Mumbai Indians by 23 runs. Chasing the target of 194 runs from Rajasthan, Mumbai Indians could only manage 170 runs for 8 wickets. With this win, Rajasthan Royals have moved up to the first position in the points table. Whereas Mumbai Indians is at 9th place.
Earlier, coming to bat, Rajasthan Royals scored 193 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Although at one point Rajasthan were looking to cross the 200-run mark, Jasprit Bumrah took the wickets of Jos Buttler and Simran Hetmyer in the 19th over to help Rajasthan stop before 200 runs. Jos Buttler batted brilliantly for Rajasthan and scored a century, he scored 100 runs in 68 balls with fours and five sixes.
Apart from this, skipper Sanju Samson scored 30 runs, while Shimron Hetmyer also scored 35 runs in just 14 balls, which included 3 fours and 3 sixes. Jasprit Bumrah performed brilliantly in the bowling and took three wickets for just 17 runs in 4 overs. Apart from him, Tymal Mills also took 3 wickets.

Rajsthan won his second game in a row thanks to Jos Buttler’s century.
After this, chasing the target, Mumbai Indians started poorly, their captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed for just 10 runs. After this Anmolpreet Singh also returned to the pavilion. Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma shared an 81-run partnership after losing two wickets for 40 runs. Ishan Kishan, batting brilliantly, scored his second consecutive half-century and scored a superb 55 (43). At the same time, Tilak Verma also made 61 runs in 33 balls, giving a great introduction to his skill.
During this, the good growing partnership of these two was broken by Trent Boult by dismissing Ishan Kishan. Soon Tilak Verma was also out. Rajasthan Royals batsman Jos Buttler scored the first century of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday, slamming 100 off 66 balls against Mumbai Indians at the DY Patil Stadium.
The Englishman Jos Buttler was in fine form, hitting 11 fours and five maximums before succumbing to a Jasprit Bumrah delivery. Jos Buttler’s century, along with cameos from captain Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer, helped the Rajasthan Royals reach 193 for the loss of eight wickets.
Buttler became only the third England player to score two hundreds in the cash-rich T20 tournament with this century. Kevin Pietersen and Jonny Bairstow are the only two English players who have scored an IPL century.
Jos Buttler has also won the Orange Cap with 135 runs in the first two IPL games, thanks to his magnificent tonne. In his previous match, he scored 35 points against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
