Punjab Kings take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the eighth match of the 15th season of the Indian Premier League (PBKS vs KKR). In this match at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, Kolkata captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and invited Punjab Kings to bat first. For this match, both teams’ starting lineups have been changed.

The starting lineup for the Kolkata team has been changed, with Shivam Mavi replacing Sheldon Jackson. Simultaneously, the Punjab Kings’ starting XI has undergone only one change. South African pacer Kagiso Rabada has returned to the squad after completing his three-day mandatory quarantine. In place of Sandeep Sharma, he has been named to the PBKS Playing XI.

During the IPL 2022 auction, Punjab Kings paid Rs. 9.25 crores for Kagiso Rabada. As a result, the South African pacer has a new team in the IPL. Prior to the auction, Kagiso Rabada set a base price of Rs. 2 crore. During the previous season, he was a member of the Delhi Capitals.

The South African pacer is currently one of the best in international cricket. So far in the Indian Premier League, he has an impressive record. Rabada has 76 wickets at an average of 20.52 in 50 IPL matches.
