Trinbago Knight Riders skipper Kieron Pollard stole all the limelight during his team’s match against Saint Lucia Kings in CPL 2021 on Tuesday at Warner Park. The all-rounder found himself trending on social networking sites after he used a unique way to show his disagreement with a decision of the on-field umpire. The much-hyped incident took place during the fifth delivery of the penultimate over of the first innings.

The bowler Wahab Riaz was trying to bowl a wide yorker to the on-strike batsman Tim Seifert. The batsman clearly struggled to reach the ball but the line umpire denied declaring the ball as wide. The decision of the umpire left both the batters and the commentators disappointed. While Seifert decided to accept the umpire’s decision, Pollard was in a mood to protest.

The Knight Riders skipper walked away from the match field to stand on the boundary of the 30-yard circle to show his resentment. After spending a min or two near the midwicket, Pollard took a few steps back in towards the pitch for the play to resume. The video of the entire incident has left the cricket fans amazed as they can’t help but heap praises on the all-rounder for his bizarre way of showing protest.
