Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG), one of two new franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL), released their official theme song on Tuesday (March 22). The video of the song was released on the team’s social media account. Fans of the team have been sharing the 2:32 minutes long video on social media.

The video starts with Badshah on the cover of the video wearing the insignia of the Lucknow SuperGiants. The video illustrates several locations of the state of Uttar Pradesh. The video also features Indian Opener and Lucknow SuperGiants skipper KL Rahul.

The theme song has so far (at the time of writing) got 18k views with more than 2.7k users liking the video along with 352 comments on Youtube.

In the first match of their IPL 2022 campaign, the Lucknow SuperGiants will face the Gujrat Titans, who will make their IPL debut at Wankhede Stadium on March 28 (Monday). The franchise retained the likes of KL Rahul (INR 17 crore), Marcus Stonis (INR 9.2 crore), and Ravi Bishnoi (INR 4 crore) and it turned out to be a huge bonus as they sorted out the captaincy, all-rounder, and a wrist spinner. The franchise also named two-time IPL winner Gautam Gambhir as their mentor.

It also picked up some highly-regarded foreign players such as Quinton de Kock, Jason Holder, Dushmantha Chameera, Kyle Mayers, and Evin Lewis during the IPL mega auction. The franchise purchased 21 players in total during the auction.

In Indian players, LSG bagged Manish Pandey, Krunal Pandya, Krishnappa Gowtham, and pacer Avesh Khan who was the side’s most expensive player in the auction for INR 10 crore. Under the captaincy of skipper KL Rahul, the new franchise will look to provide their best as they already have a number of key batters and all-rounders. It remains to be seen how Lucknow will be able to make a mark in their debut season of IPL.
