WATCH: Mohammed Shami strikes in his very first over to dismiss Geroge Munsey during the India vs Scotland clash
India are battling it out against Scotland in a must-win encounter at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. It was a fine day at the toss for the Indian skipper Virat Kohli as he finally had some luck with the coin. As the coin flipped in the favor of the Indian skipper, Kohli invited Scotland to put the total on the board first.
Indian bowlers are looking absolutely disciplined in their approach as the Men in Blue need nothing less than a commanding victory over the Men in Purple. Scotland had a decent start to their campaign as they collected 13 runs in his two overs. Kyle Coetzer and George Munsey looked in good form with the willow and were able to middle the ball well.
However, the seamer Jasprit Bumrah gave the much-needed breakthrough to the Indian side by dismissing Coetzer in the third over. Bumrah bowled a length ball to send the Scotland skipper back to the pavilion when he was playing at a score of one for seven.
Mohammed Shami cleans up George Munsey
Meanwhile, it was Mohammed Shami who helped India in heaving a sigh of relief. Shami cleaned up the backbone of Scotland’s batting lineup, George Munsey to initiate a collapse of the batting team. Skipper Virat Kohli handed the ball to Shami in the fifth over when Scotland were reeling at a score of 27 for one.
The Indian pace sensation showed signs of brilliance early in his spell as he took the big wicker of Munsey on the second ball of the sixth over. The 31-year-old bowled a slower delivery to lure the batter to play a big shot. Munsey easily fell into the trap as he took his front leg out and got into the position of smashing a big hit over the long-on.

However, Munsey didn’t get the required elevation and handed an easy catch to Hardik Pandya. This brought an end to the batter’s innings as he had to go back scoring just 24 runs off 19 balls.
