Siraj picked up the wicket of Rassie van der Dussen as Ajinkya Rahane snared a great catch at gully. As the top order of the Proteas crumbled away, Siraj decided to come up with a unique celebration.
The 27-year-old decided to recreate Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic “siiuuu” celebration to mark his first wicket on South African soil. The legendary Portuguese footballer’s signature celebration has been in the news over time and Mohammed Siraj couldn’t help but recreate it in Cenutrion.
Although India couldn’t add much to their total on day three, they were on song with the ball in hand. Having put up 327 runs on the board, the visitors skittled out the Proteas for just 197. Mohammed Shami took five wickets as India secured a commanding 130 run lead going into their second innings.
