“More vada pav”- Rohit Sharma trolled on twitter for his disappointing knock

Rohit Sharma and the Mumbai Indians have had a dreadful start to the IPL 2022 season, as the five-time winners are still looking for their first win , languishing at the bottom of the table after five matches.

The five-time champions blunders at the bidding table with below-par domestic acquisitions are absolutely not Rohit Sharma’s fault. However, Mumbai Indians’ scarcity of runs from Rohit Sharma, dubbed “the batter” and the third biggest run-getter in the IPL, is hurting them in this season’s competition.

KL Rahul blasted his first hundred of the season to lead Lucknow Super Giants to a 199-run victory over Mumbai Indians in the IPL. Rahul hit 103 off 60 balls, hitting nine fours and five sixes in his undefeated innings. With a spectacular century for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) versus Mumbai Indians, KL Rahul carved his name in the record books (MI).The Mangaluru-born played calmly in the middle overs, keeping an eye on Jasprit Bumrah. He, on the other hand, took every bowlers to the cleaners at the end.

Huge disappointment for MI fans as once again Rohit Sharma couldn’t play up to the expectation of millions.

In the early stages of the IPL 2022, the Mumbai Indians opener has suffered with his batting performance. In his last five innings, he has scored 41, 10, 3, 26, and 28 runs, highlighting his inefficiency for the team. Sharma’s average of 30.91 in the IPL 2022 has also been below par. He has accumulated 108 runs with a 21.61 average, which is concerning for a batter who makes shot-making look effortless with his graceful swings.

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma’s poor batting streak continued on Saturday when he was dismissed for 6 runs off 7 balls against Lucknow Super Giants at the Brabourne Stadium.  Sharma’s score of 10 runs or fewer was his third in six innings this season.

Edged and snatched! Avesh takes the MI captain for the first wicket for Lucknow. Rohit aims to slice this delivery through the off-side with a short delivery outside off. He’s a little low in doing so, so de Kock receives a feather. Probably came from the cue end, and the keeper makes no mistakes. Rohit looks up to the sky as he walks back to the pavilion, another disappointing innings.
