MS Dhoni

The legendary finisher is a die-hard football fan and enjoys playing the sport during his free time or between the training and practice sessions. This time around, Dhoni decided to play the sport with his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings during one of their leisure time.
Notably, the three-time champion, the Super Kings were one of the first IPL franchises to reach the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to kick-start their practice for the second leg of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. On September 3, Friday, the Super Kings’ official Twitter handle greeted the cricket fanatics with an adorable video.
In the video, all the CSK players including the skipper MS Dhoni can be seen flaunting their football skills. The entire CSK camp was divided into two teams for the football match. Posting the video, the franchisee wrote, “Unstoppable awesome on the rally!”
MS Dhoni failed to find the rhythm in IPL 2021
The India leg of IPL 2021 was Chennai Super Kings bouncing back stronger. Halfway through the competition, the Yellow Army is proudly sitting at the second position with as many as five victories from seven league matches. The franchise started its campaign with a loss against Delhi Capitals.
However, they followed it up with five back-to-back wins against Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The team’s second loss in the T20 extravaganza came against Mumbai Indians in a nail-biting affair.
Coming into the UAE, the MS Dhoni-led side will be hoping to continue their domination. Dhoni, on the other hand, will also wish to improve his performance with the willow. The 40-year-old had failed to get going during the first phase of the competition as he ended up with just 37 runs at a poor average of 12.33.
