The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League kickstarted on April 9 with an exciting affair between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was forced to reschedule the tournament after hosting just 29 games due to the Covid-19 scare. The remainder of IPL 2021 will now be played from September 19 to October 15 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

With IPL 2021 just a couple of days away, most of the IPL franchises have commenced their practice and training sessions in the Middle East. Three-time champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was one of the first teams to travel to UAE. The Super Kings are active on their social media handles as time and again they have treated the fans with a glimpse of their favorites Yellow Army players.

On August 24, Tuesday, CSK again managed to steal all the thunder by posting a delightful video featuring their skipper and former Indian captain MS Dhoni. In the video, Dhoni can be seen hammering the ball over the park with ease. It was nothing less than a visual treat for the cricket fans to see their favorite Thala hitting huge sixes.

What made the video more adorable was the fact that in the end, Dhoni, along with other CSK players went to search for the balls in the bushes surrounding the training ground. CSK posted the beautiful clip on their official Twitter handle with the caption, “Dhoni’s Sixes, Our love for Thala, Out of bounds.”

After some good net sessions, Dhoni will be hoping to enjoy some success on the match field too. After a torrid performance in IPL 2020, CSK bounced back stronger during the 2021 edition. Halfway through the tournament, the team is sitting at the second position in the points table with five victories from seven league games.

However, Dhonis’ form was a major cause of worry for the Super Kings. The skipper succumbed to a below-average outing as he could muster only 37 runs in seven matches at an average of 12.33. With IPL 2021 moving to UAE, Dhoni will be hoping to find his rhythm and play some spectacular innings to help his team win their fourth IPL title.
