Nathan Coulter-Nile, the Rajasthan Royals pacer has been ruled out of IPL 2022 due to an injury. RR shared a video with the caption: “Until we meet again, NCN. Speedy recovery”.
During the match between the RR and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Nathan Coulter-Nile left the field midway and wasn’t included in the playing X| against the Mumbai Indians. He wasn’t with the team against the Royal Challengers Bangalore either in yesterday’s match and Navdeep Saini replaced him in the X|. The franchise haven’t announced a replacement for him yet but Dasum Shanaka, David Wiese and Ben Cutting are the probable replacements for him.
In the match against the SRH, when Coulter-Nile came to bowl the final over, failed to complete his four overs and was forced to leave the field. He started his over with a no-ball but tumbled down on his follow through. After that, he bowled three overs. The nature of the injury is yet to be known.
“Just prepare yourself in the long haul”- Nathan Coulter-Nile
Nathan Coulter-Nile was bought by the franchise for Rs 2 crores during the mega auctions held in February in Bengaluru. He has been a part of IPL since 2013.
“It’s good to be picked by the Royals. They’ve always carried a solid reputation on the field and have been one of the tougher teams to beat in the competition, no matter what the situation of the game”.
“For me, the target is to help win the trophy for the Royals, obviously I’d love to be out there and help the team, but in a long tournament you have to be ready for anything the management asks you to do and just prepare yourself for the long-haul.” Nathan Coulter-Nile had said two weeks ago.
