The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the full-fledged schedule for the 2023 ODI World Cup on Tuesday. The quadrennial showpiece event will kick off on 5 October with a rematch of the 2019 World Cup Final, between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, hosts India will kick off their campaign against Australia on 8 October at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The most-awaited match of the 2023 ODI World Cup, India vs Pakistan will be played on 15 October at the world’s largest stadium in Ahmedabad. The 2023 ODI World Cup Final will be played on 19 November at the same stadium where the tournament kicked off i.e. the Narendra Modi Stadium.

India will face New Zealand on 22 October at the HPCA Cricket Stadium in Dharamshala. Meanwhile, the hosts will be up against the defending champions, England at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on 29 October. The group stage of the 2023 ODI World Cup concludes on 12 November with Pakistan locking horns against England and Australia facing Bangladesh.

2023 ODI World Cup Knockouts

The knockout stage of the 2023 ODI World Cup starts on 15 November with the first semifinal played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. Meanwhile, the second semifinal will be played at the Eden Gardens on 17 November.

The Final will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19 with November 20 slated as the reserve day. All three knockout stage matches will begin at 2 PM IST.
