Format of the 2024 ICC T20I World Cup
Each team will play once against the teams in their group. The two teams that finish with the highest points will be sent to the Super 8, where they will once again be divided into two groups. There will be no telecasted draw, but the teams will have been drawn according to pre-tournament seeding.

This is quite different from the previous 2 editions of the T20 World Cups. In 2021 and 22, there was a Super 12 group, with 6 in each group. The top two of each group qualified for the semi-finals. This is the first time there have been more than 16 teams in an ICC event, with 20 teams. England will go into the tournament as defending champions.
