India’s series against England ended in the former’s favor as Rohit Sharma and Co. won four matches after losing the first. Ben Stokes and his men were expected to give tough competition to the hosts in the rest of the matches as well, but alas, they couldn’t repeat what they did in 2012.
England are now playing aggressive Test cricket to ensure fans don’t lose interest while watching the matches. They were extremely confident in their Bazball as they won all the series they played after the introduction of this aggressive style of cricket in 2022, except against India.

After winning the first Test, England’s veteran pacer James Anderson made an outrageous claim when he said that even if England had to chase 500 or 600, they would try to win it in 60 overs. India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, the spin master who ruined England’s chances of winning the series, said England had gone too far.
James Anderson went into a press conference in the second Test after winning the first considerably well. Much respect for them for winning that. He told the press that even if the 4th innings target was 500 or 600, we'd finish it in 60 overs. Even though it was an example of their positive mindset, it felt like they had gone too far.Ashwin said on his YouTube channel

After the conclusion of the series, Ravichandran Ashwin also spoke about his bonding with head coach Rahul Dravid. Ashwin told Crikipidea that though he has played with Dravid since his time as a rookie cricketer, he has a special attachment to Dravid as a coach.

Ashwin said he respects Dravid a lot but also has a “little fear” because of having so much respect for the coach plus having the license to talk about anything with him.
Ashwin picked up five wickets in his last spell of the series, conceding 77 runs. His first fifer came in the Ranchi Test (5/51).
