While one of India’s debutants in the first Test, Yashasvi Jaiswal floored everyone with his blistering knock, the other, Ishan Kishan gathered attention for his words. The stump mic during the first Test allowed the viewers to hear the players’ conversations and Kishan’s comment on Ajinkya Rahane got everyone laughing.
During the second West Indian innings, wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan was heard telling vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane that Windies no.11 Jomel Warrican had played more deliveries than Rahane in the match. Despite being a tail-ender and West Indies’ last batter, Warrican ended up troubling the Indian side with his ability to play the ball and his unusual stance.
The video of Ishan Kishan making this statement was immediately uploaded by fans on Twitter and went viral in no time. The left-hander can be heard saying, “Aap se zyada ball khel gaya yeh, Ajju bhai .”

India’s best batter in the World Test Championship Final against Australia, Ajinkya Rahane was given another go in the Test side after he was named vice-captain for the Windies tour. The batter however failed to perform in the only innings India played in the first Test.
Rahane was dismissed for 3 runs off 11 balls and did not look settled in. Ishan Kishan made the remark on Rahane s Windies no.11 Warrican ended up playing 7 more deliveries than the Indian.
India won the first Test by an innings and 141 runs, after breathtaking bowling from Ravichandran Ashwin who picked up 12 wickets in the Test, forcing a three-day finish. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma registered hundreds while Virat Kohli was dismissed for 76.
