Former Australia captain Aaron Finch gave a hilarious response when a cricket fan asked him about the batter’s struggles against India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The Aussie opener has been dismissed seven times in his career by Kumar. Out of these seven dismissals, four came during the 2019 ODI series. 

Finch’s shabby record against Bhuvneshwar was pointed out by a fan who asked for the reason behind it. During a Q&A session on X, a user asked if Finch’s feet coming across resulted in his struggles against swinging deliveries. “Big fan here,why did bhuvi troubled you a bit.. Could you elaborate? Is it your feet coming across??” a fan asked Finch.

The batter was quick to leave a reply where he admitted that indeed that was the reason. Finch also said that he tried stopping that but failed miserably. “Yep!! Tried for 15 years to stop that happening,” Finch replied.

Aaron Finch retired from International cricket in February this year. While the opening batter had his share of struggles, Aaron Finch helped Australia lift their maiden T20 World Cup title in 2021.

Aaron Finch was an aggressive batter who made bowlers shiver. On his day, Finch could go on and on taking down the best bowlers with ease. The right-handed batter played 254 International matches. While the opening batter was not a regular in Tests (played only 5 Tests), Finch left a big impact in white-ball cricket. 

In 146 ODIs, Aaron Finch scored 5406 runs at an average of 38.89. In 103 T20Is, Finch scored 3120 at 34.28 and striking at 142.53. The batter also holds the record for the highest individual score in a T20I, 172 which he scored against Zimbabwe in 2018. Aaron Finch is also among the limited batter who have scored over 10,000 runs in T20 cricket.
