Australia all-rounder Cameron Green is turning out to be an absolute asset for his team. While the tall all-rounder is known for his batting and bowling, Green has been exceptional in the field too. It seems the Aussie all-rounder is becoming a specialist fielder in the gully region as Green has pulled off two stunning catches in a span of one week.
While Green took an absolute blinder during the World Test Championship (WTC) Final against India to send back Shubman Gill, the Aussie took another stunning catch in the 1st Ashes Test to dismiss Ben Duckett.
As Duckett and Zak Crawley started the second innings for England, Pat Cummins provided the first breakthrough, getting Duckett caught in the gully region. The Australia captain bowled a full delivery in the corridor of uncertainty while Duckett threw his willow at the red cherry. As a result, the ball flew quickly to Green who was quick as a cat to get hold of it.

Rain plays spoilsport in 1st Ashes Test!
After Pat Cummins sent back Duckett, Australia’s hero in the second innings of the WTC Final, Scott Boland dismissed Zak Crawley to pull things back for Australia. The right-arm pacer got Crawley caught behind. While this brilliant passage of play was underway, rain played a spoilsport and the players had to go back.
Nevertheless, the game is evenly poised with first-inning centurion Joe Root and Ollie Pope out there in the middle. England have still eight wickets left and the hosts are leading by 33 runs. With two more days left in the 1st Test, a result is expected unless rain continues to interrupt the passage of play.
