India captain Rohit Sharma, who had a terrible outing in the recently concluded World Test Championship (WTC) Final, is on vacation with his family. During this time out with family, Sharma jumped into the water to save his wife’s phone.

Talking about Sharma’s outing in WTC Final, Rohit scored 55 runs in two innings. He also had a hard time pulling off the strings in captaincy as well. Sharma was criticized heavily for his mediocre tactics in the mega clash. However, the India captain came up with plenty of excuses during the post-match press conference. Sharma first blamed the bowlers for not stepping up and then rued lack of preparation.

Nevertheless, the loss could not be overturned and India’s hunt for their maiden ICC Test Championship title continues. The new WTC cycle kicks off for India with the two-match Test series against the West Indies in July. Till then, the India stalwarts including captain Rohit Sharma are enjoying their vacation.

Rohit Sharma and his family are out on a vacation. Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh posted a story on Instagram wherein she claimed that Sharma jumped into the water to save her phone. However, as it felt from Sharma’s sheepish smile, it was a joke. 

The cricketer also shared pictures from his vacation. Rohit was seen enjoying his time with his wife Ritika and daughter Samaira. 

Now coming back to the cricket field, Rohit Sharma has a herculean task ahead of himself. Indian fans are desperate to see their favorite team lift an ICC title and with the ODI World Cup scheduled for October-November, Sharma and Co. will need to defy the odds and break the ICC title jinx.
