Recently Novak Djokovic spoke about his admiration for Indian star, Virat Kohli. He said the duo texted regularly and wished to meet soon. He said he had a great relationship with the cricketer and was honored with the kind words. Djokovic also added that he admired Kohli’s career’s achievements. 

In a special video released by the BCCI, Kohli talked about how he first started talking with the tennis superstar. He claimed if more athletes from all over the world interacted with each other, it could be inspirational to the future generations. Kohli ended the video by wishing Djokovic the best in the ongoing Australian Open and hoped they would meet soon.

Djokovic watched the video and thanked Kohli for his kind words. He added that he is “looking forward to the day” the two would play tennis together, something Kohli mentioned he wanted to do. 

Virat Kohli requests security to be gentle with intruder 

During India’s 2nd T20I with Afghanistan in Indore, a fan managed to break into the ground by climbing the fences. The fan ran up to Virat Kohli, who was fielding at the boundary. The fan touched Kohli’s feet and hugged him. As security turned up, they pulled the fan off the pitch and Kohli was seen instructing them to be gentle with him. He was seen shouting, “Aram se, aram se.”

India won the 2nd T20I with ease. Being given a target of 172, India chased it down with 26 balls to spare. After Rohit Sharma departed for a duck, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Kohli stitched up a partnership of 57 runs, with Kohli scoring a quickfire 29 off 15. Jaiswal scored 68 off 34 before being dismissed, while Shivam Dube scored yet another match-winning fifty.
