India pacer Mohammad Shami slammed the trolls who are just not stopping to put all the blame on the young India player Arshdeep Singh for dropping a catch against arch-rivals Pakistan.

India locked horns with Pakistan on the Super 4 stage and lost the match by five wickets. Arshdeep Singh, in a crucial moment that would have turned the table, dropped catch of Asif Ali in the 18th over from Ravi Bishnoi‘s bowling and India ended up losing the match.

After the match, Arshdeep became the victim of egregious abuse on social media, trolls attacking the pacer with what not. Many cricketers, including former India captain Virat Kohli have come up with strong support for the 23-year-old.

In an exclusive interview with Times Now, Shami said that those who just trolls have no other jobs. They don’t praise when players do well but will come eagerly for trolling.

“They only live to troll us, have no other job. When we perform well they don’t say you took a good catch but will troll us?” said Shami. “Agar dam hai toh real accounts se aaye na, fake account se toh koi bhi msg kar sakta hai (If you have the audacity, then comes from real accounts; anyone can message from fake accounts,)” he added.

“I’ve faced this and it doesn’t affect me because my country stands up for me. I’ll only say to Arshdeep , don’t let this hamper you because your talent is immense,” Shami stated.
